Im not sure but that looks like him.
If it is gold or brown and also eats plants voraciously, then it is a cana. Canas are very common around and are invasive species in Asia and Hawaii. They can grow to baseball size, no more than that. They are often confused with Pomacea bridgesii which grow to golfball size only. I have three canas along with over 80 babies and more clutches still waiting to hatch.:)

If you want something larger, try Pomacea insularum. There is an article by Donya Quick about her insularums. They apparently chew on nets and meshes as juveniles and can leave bite marks as adults on your skin unlike the scratches by canas due to their teeth called I believe "radials". Now, that's a monster invertebrate.:D The largest is Pomacea maculata at 6 inches but its existence has never been proven so it is widely believed it could simply be an isolated population of insularums and canas.

A bichir looks interesting. What else can u keep with it?

They aren't aggressive, so they can be kept with fish that can't be eaten by them.
