Oddball/pred tank stock

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
That is a nice looking fish , ideally I want a small selection of different fish , could be an option to put in as a single fish
You can keep an individual pink tail. They are just less skittish as a group

That's great info thanks , I don't want to overstock . My plan is to get a 225g at some point to add to the collection . I thought one of the small gars could be an option aswell , not sure how they would get on with the likes of wolf fish/red tail payara ?
Actual gar? Or gar characin? For true gars I'd say a Florida would be your only option, for characins you have to get positive ID on here, some can look like others and get huge where as the smaller species gets to a foot kind of thing. If you go up to a 225 you'll probably only be able to add one fish... As the smallest species of fish I said gets to 8" the rest 1' and some larger, I gave you a bunch of options so you can look through and pick stuff, you can't keep all of that together in one tank, you'd need a much larger tank, some of those fish like to be in groups as well. And you can keep pink tail chalceus as a solo fish, but like some of the fish I said (some characins and cats) they would rather be in a group. A lot of people recommend odoes in a group of 5+ or they're skittish, I have a solo female and she's tough as ever.
