Oddball wanna-be Payara

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
They were in a nice sized tank in the store as G has a few large display tanks there, and when I first saw them a while back they were in with tats and scombs and probably his smaller Armatus when he had them back then. When I would stop in I would pick up a tat here and there and they would be there waiting for their turn.I had no interest in them back then but recently I started to consider them but DB beat me to them.

very cool!

is that ur big rhaph?

Yup. The small (in #) Dorado shoal is heading for the pond. They just ate way too much in the growout tank to ever be able to try to catch the other shoal up to them. While they are definetly gaining trust, not enough to leave with the Rhaph.

The sad part is after a taste of being apex in the pond this guy is very upset about being moved. Pretty much lashed out upon being put in the tank. Guessing him to be nearing the 14in mark, as it is easily way longer then all the rays are wide, and the biggest ray is close to a foot. Not quite as big as I thought it was, but still one of the larger ones that I'm aware of.

Thanks for all the compliments on the Cynos guys. :D

very nice..
