That is an Atya gabonensis (aka. Giant African Filter Shrimp). They are FW filter feeders. They can reach about 6 inches long. They have really pretty fan hands, and the shrimp itself can range in color from near white to black to all sorts of greys and blues and browns. They need a well established tank with a lot of water movement. I've had poor luck keeping them alive, but I think some of that can be blamed on random chance and a couple of mistakes on my part.
