Oddest fish kept together?

I kept Africans and Convicts with an opaline gourami and the convicts sucessfully spawned twice, with 2-3 surviving offspring each spawn. The amazing thing is the gourami was never harmed by the spawning cons or the africans.
PS I know it was a crappy pair. This was right when I got into the hobby so please don't flame me.

i have a tank filled with unwanted feeders and i am growing out my clarius cats there
and they are 2" right now while the feeders are nearly 2-3" long and nearly 1"+ tall

I once had an angel and a oscar together for about four years. I bought them from a lfs that housed them together as juvies and the grew up together. After 3yrs of them being housed together the lfs would not break up the pair. I'd go in there once a month for a couple years until I bought a 75 specifically to house this "pair".
Not fair my 10" oscar took 2 newly bought 2" clown loach in about 3 seconds of being in tank.---XR---;1527306; said:
