Yep i have one for my 55 works great you will have to get some good media.
only thing that a pain is starting it up the primer is hard to push ...lol
mine is rated for them up to 100 gallon or so may be more though.

If you have not purchased yet get an Eheim. If that is a little to steep for your pockets then get a Fluval.

x2! Eheim is best, but, Fluval has great filters as well (FX-5 and below).

I love my odyssea cfs 500 ,Do the mods found here http://www.aquariacentral.com/forums/showthread.php?239484-Odyssea-CFS-500-Can-filter-review-and-circumference-modification and this thing is a beast. I have it on my 150 and it keeps the water clear.

couldnt choose between the two...and my tanks kinda big (135) and i got the fx5 for 100 bucks on craigslist...no tubes tho
