Hi,
My wonderful and thoughtful wife decided to buy me a 9" odoe pike for christmas. It has been in my 375g since she brought it home. The problem is that he isn't eating; I have not seen him eat since he arrived. The previous owner fed him pellets and fd krill. I have tried massavore, floating carnisticks, fd krill, frozen bloodworm, market shrimp, and he won't eat any of it. Have also tried soaking the food with garlic guard and entice.
He is housed with a 12" Dat, 28" Niger cat, 12" flagtail, and 2 adult jack dempseys. None of the other fish bother him, but he is nervous at times. yet he greets us at the front of the tank and looks hungry. He will go after food, but rarely bites. When he has, he spits the food out.
Water conditions are good: 7.4 pH, 0 ammonia, 0 nitrate, 5-10ppm. Tank is on a drip system, temp is 80-82 degrees.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get him eating again? He doesn't look thin, but I don't want him dying of starvation.
Thanks!
