Maybe, although they're really skittish and dont always feed in front of you, if I read the sticky right that's what it said... Although armatus's are cool, but expensive
Red tail payara is an amazing animal. I have one and I need so much more (2 more)! My payara will chase and attack prey in 60-65% of times that I offer feeders. This is transformed in 100% rate in higher temps (increasing metabolic rate). She don't moves to much without feeders or action in the tank but she is beautifull and she is always streching her jaws (showing that incredible teeth). it is a kind of fish that is the sum of elegance, beauty and wild. When she is hunting it's very awesome because she uses a mix of active searching and ambushing tatics...cornering the feeders and almost always attacking from below. I'm suspect to talk about these fishes because i'm completly in love with mine!
