I just got one today

He is about 5". His tail fin is very beat up from another pike at the LFS, but I'm hoping I can get it to grow back all the way. I have him in my 125 with a big Argentea, small GT, NGT, and several Polys. The GT is chasing him a bit, and I won't hesitate to get rid of the GT if need be.

After searching for pictures of these guys, I am looking forward to growing this guy into a monster

i wouldnt keep them with overly aggressive cichlids.

Thanks guys. The store doesn't deliver. It's the first time Ive seen one of these in the area. The Argentea doesnt pay any mind to him. He lived with a 10 inch Yellow Tail Barracuda for a while and always ignored him. The GT is ignoring him now too. I'm gonna try and heal the Odoe a little so I can get better pics.

lol, I'm just pissin' everyone off with my find

I got it at Fish Palace. I paid too much for it (it was labeled as wild caught, but I'm guessing they are all wild caught ???), but oh well. It was priced for 75 and I talked em down to 65. If the tail fin doesn't grow back all the way, then I really got ripped off. They don't have any more. They had a red tailed barracuda about the same size for I think like 50. Both the Odoe and the Barracuda were beat up by some wierd pike that I've never seen. It had kind of a long, thin ant eater looking snout. Kinda hard to explain. It was $99. Not as cool looking as Cudas or Odoes.

Yeah, I know it's more than I should have paid. Money in my wallet and being in a fish store = my weakness

Huh? You mean the one I bought or the one that was beating up on the others?

Well either way, mine is an Odoe, and the mystery fish is some kind of Characin.
