Odoe's gone Berzerk!! - please help

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i doubt its stray voltage, i had a problem with current leaking into the tank, but my fish never reacted to it, most likely because they are not grounded, but could be... most likely he sees his reflection now and is wigging out, the cleaning of the algae on the glass most likely caused this problem.... he should get used to it, sucks though that he's hurting himself.... i certainly wouldnt suggest putting another odoe in there if he's attacking his reflection that aggressively!!!! lol

Use a volt meter to check(a cheap one can be had for about $10). Or throw a few goldfish in there to check for a reaction. I really doubt it is stray voltage though.

He's has calmed down somewhat; however he's basically ruined his nose. I'm not sure he'll look the same. I haven't witnessed another suicide sprint towards the back wall in over a week, but my wife says she's seen him do it while she's been watching tv.

I'm thinking to string the plants I put in the center all along the back of the tank. The initial piece I put in seemed to calm him down a bit. Hopefully with the entire length of the back wall covered, he'll be a bit more at peace. I'll post up pics of his nose. It's not pretty.

my armatus was pretty much like that when he flipped out. His nosed got destroyed. the nose is healing very well right now. 90% to 95% complete.
