  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
you happy with it? i havent tried mine. actually just sold my 240gl, looking for another. may setup one of my 75gl's i got to start building some bacteria in my canister, until i find a 8'x3'

i had pollyfill in a diy one i used and it worked great, just had to keep adding water due to evaporation daily, kinda a pita. if you are not happy fill it with polly fill.

Works very well on the 29gal. It only took about 1/2hr to clear the surface of any slick/debris. I just run it a couple of hours a day now.

I have the CFS500, I cut the large sponge in half and fill the section with ceramic rings, and bio max. Works fantastic IMO. I previously used the Rena XP3 and XP2, honestly I like this one better than both of those, which were sitting in a rubbermaid tub because they leaked from day one.

another big advantage of the cfs700 and up is it is clear, you can see what is going on inside

I originally wasn't a fan of the clear design, but the more I thought about it, the more sense it made. While it isn't pretty by any stretch, it is definitely useful in the fact that you can easily know when it is time to clean filters or not.

I also like the see-thru design. Another nice little feature that, I use daily on one of mine, is the built in ON/OFF switch. On my 75, I would turn off the filter when I feed......much more convenient than having to unplug and replug every feeding

found a replacement tank for the 240. 7'6" x3' x19", 1.25" acrylic. who says this tall filter wont fit under the tank, lol. the tank and stand I got from MA. 2.5 hrs one way, love my trailer. i tore apart the stand and building one out of 4x4's and higher.

designed, removed a wall for this tank, will be a three room wall divider. and room for the filters. need to order another set, but lacking funds.

had to go get bolts so i can bolt it together for the three center pieces (two not in the pic). btw messy project house i bought a little while ago.
