Get the CFS now and then ADD the Eheim when money isn't so tight?

I have a 6x2x2 and currently have an Eheim Pro 3 2080 running and a classic 2217, but there isnt enough flow! I was going to remove the Classic 2217 and replace it with either the CFS or the 2260.

would the 2080 and the CFS do a 180gal tank?

If you need flow, a couple wavemakers would be a cheaper solution than another filter.

How did it go?

Mine is running like a charm just like my cfs 700 did. Can't even tell it's on at all.

I just got one of these as well. I decided to mod the bolts with rubber and metal washers to try and even out the pressure on the lid. Also used metal hose clamps rather then the junk ones that came with it.

How should the bio balls be used free floating? Or with the blue media holding them down against the other media?

Still using this filter? How's the flow?

I'll be perfectly honest and said I'm quite disappointed with this filter compared to my CFS 700 I had. Here is some issues I've had with it:

Really is to tall for most stands at almost 40".
Reaching down those 40" for cleaning are not fun easy.
After first cleaning I could not get same flow that I got out of box.
Did not like the ribbed hosing over smooth that the 700 has.
Don't get me started on the weight of this thing with water in it.

I'll go back to the 700 for ease of use and more consistent flow after out of box. Some might not have nor does these issues bother them, however these are my experiences with this filter.
