Can someone please explain to me why the redskins gave a 34 year old quarterback a 5 year, 78 million dollar contract with 40 mil guaranteed? i know football contracts aren't guaranteed and can be cut at any time but 40 mil is ALOT to pay a 34+ year old QB because they made a mistake.

Redskins front office, WHAT ARE YOU DOIN!?!

Probably think he is one of those "top 7" quarterbacks ya need to have in order to win a Superbowl.

Here's the most credible explanation I could find about what happened.

lmao, that was good stuff! so turns out they can still cut him at the end of the year with only 3.5 guaranteed. That sounds much much better. i think they'll cut him anyways, officially making dan snyder even more stupid then brad childress. i say to dan snyder...WHAT ARE YOU DOIN!?!?!?

steelers bounce back from a terrible loss to the pats. offense and defense looked good. there were way to many penalties in the game.
redskins will get it turned around. mcnabb would have been a great fit if he were not so old.
colts and pats looks to be a shootout as most people probably figured. the colts are riddled with injuries much like the steelers. i hope the colts can pull this one out.
the philadelphia eagles are on fire probably playing better football then anyone right now and i hope vick has a alot of points for my fantasy league.

on a side note. kinda agree with what was said already above about the jets. how lucky is that team. detroit then browns and now texans all games they probably should have lost. i think it will catch up with them.

the bills jacking up the bengals after loosing by 17 at half to win by 18 at final.
batman and robin should concentrate more on winning instead of whos going to drive the batmoblie. they should change there callsign from batman and robin to lavern and shirley

dang the colts almost did it again against the pats. coming from behind it looked like a typical manning drive to win the game. ball sailed and got picked.:irked:

Anyone excited about any games today?

bills got there season started late. they gave my steelers a scare today. they have came within a field goal of beating about 3 or 4 good teams. the bills are not a doormat like everyone had thought. eagles surprised me today by not winning but the bears did not surprise me as cutler is as inconsistant as weathermen are. sometimes he plays like ryan leaf and other times looks like elway.

i wasn't surprised by chicago, it's a good defense with a great special team playing at home in the cold. i knew if new york had success against philly's offense, chicago would 2 because of their front 4. Julius Pepper is a beast.

Buffalo......stevie johnson blew it. your steelers should've taken a L. i think tomlin went too conservative in his playcalling today. Reminded me of the colts in the superbowl where the colts got an early lead then went conservative and couldn't kick it up a notch when the other team rose up. Big Ben didn't even throw a TD
