my family just moved onto a lake and scince the ice went out i hadent seen any fish at all...well today i walked onto the dock, and i look down and there are like 25 little LM bass :nilly: some were really small like 4 inches and a couple were over 8...i am going to make a pond and was thinkin about puttin some in there...do u think it would work?
 
nice, ok...i was thinkin of gettin like 3 or 4 of them...also,we have a hose that comes strait from the lake do u think i should just fill the whole pond with just lake water?
 
Have a small pump going from the lake and into the pond, than a drain that drains the pond back to the lake :). Add plants from the pond, lots of fish and pics!
 
ha thats not a bad idea...but what if when putting alittle gas in the boat or something it spills...? then goes into the pond :WHOA: also does anyone know what size pump it would have to be? becuase to bring it up alittle hill it would have to be powerful
 
There so much **** in lakes now adays it dosent matter, It also normmaly stays on the top of the water so just make sure the pump is pretty far ( deep ) into the lake.

stocking : I dont know whats native to where you live, But how about bass,sunfish,minnows,suckerfish,etc...

How will you be makeing this pond? will it be like wooden or what :)?
 
Umm...I think making a pond that interacts with the lake is asking for trouble. One way or another some nasty will find it's either in the pond or in the lake.

4 LMB in a pond? how big do you plan on making it? LMB can get pretty mean in cramped places.
