I never got to used those 48" bulbs. I thougt I had 48" strips but they were only 36". I'll bring them by again next time I'm down in the area.

Cmon Jed step up to the 48"er's You have an 8ft. tank, i'd drop four 4ft. fixtures on that beast with AquaGlo's it will be well worth the investment. You can get the fixtures at lowes for under 30 dollars. The lights are pricey though.
