What the big deal about a Lakers - Celtics matchup. that was the 80's the rivalry is no longer there. whole new generation of players. Id rather have it be Detroit since it was this team that last knocked off the Lakers not the C's.

They are the winningest teams in NBA history. For NBA lifer fans, it's a lifelong matchup. No different than any other sports rivalries. Let's see how Boston backs up their first road win. They jumped out to the huge lead, then basically fell apart in the 4th. I don't see Detroit (who hasn't lost back-to-back in the playoffs yet) allowing that tonight.
