Lions lost again, 0-15, 10-37 during Rods career so far.

Saints did not punt once, converted all of their 3 downs. Scored on every posession except one where they fumbled on our 25 (or so), and one other time because they took a knee so they wouldn't embarass us further. I'm so glad we hired a defensive coach.

Gotta start looking towards the future. I would look to sign Matt Cassell and trade that #1 pick for a bunch of later picks.

I went to the Vikings-Falcons game. The day started off bad when they wouldn't let me wear my "Matt Ryan's mom has AIDS" T shirt inside the dome. After that we laid a huge egg and probably will back into the playoffs, if we get there at all. I just want Childress fired. It's all I want for Christmas. I want him and his moustache and his shiny head out of my city.

How could you hate on Matt Ryan? I love the guy ( partially because i saw him play at boston college since he was a freshman)

vikings should be good considering they have the best RB... maybe fill a hole at QB and some seconday problems

hopefully the detroit management is that smart

they were smart in trading williams for a first rounder.... now they just have to get something out of their draft picks

kevin smith was nothing extraordinary this year

Giants Running game... dominates...
earth wind and fire. even if you hate the giants you have to admit they have the best and pretty much unstoppable trio in jacobs ward and bradshaw... we should trade plaxico this offseason.. just like we traded shockey.

Havent commented on this thread in a while so i will do a rundown of how i think the season went

winners.... Bill bellicheck- you have to hand it to him- losing your starting qb and rb... including to rb core for most of the season. and lose many defensive starters but still in a spot to make the playoffs
Texans- rebuilding year- drafting steve slaton looked pretty good!
Dolphins

Losers
Jacksonville- I loved this team last year- maurice jones drew was amazing and garrard was smart with the ball- but they failed to address problems at wr and matt jones is a coke head.. to bad to see a playoff favorite crumble under high expectations
Bengals... not much to say besides no running game no defense no palmer.. just ocho stinko johnson.. the most memorable play for their team is their safety getting his jaw broken by hines ward lol
Bronco's- their defense is awful- they collapsed and go to a sudden death game to get in the playoffs vs the red hot chargers

other dishonarable mentions- Raiders ( al davis! go disappear) Buffalo bills, Detroit lions, Arizona Cardinals (hey at least the can hang up the nfc west division champs in their dome lol)

Only if jacobs is healthy and beating the hell out of the opposing defense. The games Jacobs missed, Ward has only been average at best.

yea I left that part out... when there is no earth nothing else exists lol

Jacobs is the fastball... straight up the gut nothing fancy pound away at defense... ward is the changeup back, has some good movement and catches defense out of position and tired

bradshaw is the backdoor slider

I don't want Cassell. He looks good on NE but a QB will do nothing for the Lions, thye have way bigger needs than a QB.
Of course we would like to trade the #1 pick, everyone does, but nobody wants it. It costs too much money. Until they put a cap on the amounts for draft picks, the top 3 picks are more of a detriment than a blessing.

Kevin Smith actually had a pretty solid year. On this bad of a team, he is approaching 1000 yards, I do think it's pretty extraordinary.

Thing is half the NFL needs QBs and there just isn't that many quality QBs out there. I've watched the Fins cycle through close to 20 starting QBs since Marino. That's been alot of crap football. Cassell is young and has proven that he can play, the only thing that the lions have to give up for him is money. Hard to beat that, there aren't many playoff caliber teams with out stable QBs. Of course there is the chance the lions may just take Graham Harrell with that #1 pick, but that alot of money for an unproven NFL quarterback.

I guess it all will be determined on what they do with upper management and coaching. Maybe you guys will be playing Martyball there in Detriot.

Well, first as for playoff teams that don't have stable QB's, ask Ewurm if he knows of any.

I didn't say Cassell wasn't good, I just said I don't want him, and I don't want any free agent QB, or a college guy for that matter. The Lions are bad all over the field, and QB is a spot that they can get by with what they have. If you have no offensive line, no QB will look good. And if you have a great QB on a great offense, you can score a lot, but if you have the WORST defense in the league, your still gonna lose. We need O lineman, D lineman, Linebackers, and so on before we even sniff a QB.
