Me wanting Vick to play has nothing to do with endorsing animal cruelty. He committed a crime, and paid for it. No need to further punish him. Regardless, trying to argue about Vick is pointless. You're either for or against him. Seems to me you have plenty to criticize but not much to offer. What do you suggest other than firing your head coach, eh Wurm-o? ;)

I suggest that Michael Vick didn't just torture animals, he used his multi-million dollar salary to fund a crime syndicate. That is racketeering. That's punishable by life in prison, which would be much closer to appropriate. Also, what other job can you commit a federal felony and do a year in prison, then get your job back? He shouldn't ever be allowed back in the NFL again. Besides, Pennington did a pretty good job last year with not much to work with. That, and he didn't kill a bunch of animals for his own profit and enjoyment.

eh eh eh, i just said i didn't want to talk about vick. He doesn't apply to the 2009 season :)

about pennington, i like the guy, except not having a reliable deep pass scares me. we did well this season thanks to our gimmicks. wild cat, short passes...other teams will wisen up, if they haven't already. i'm not sure how far chad can lead us into the playoffs, or if we'll even get that far again. that's why i at least want a stronger o-line this season.

You even see one of Montana's deep passes?

The Dolphins need to improve the standard set running game. Ricky and Ronnie's number were piss poor out of the standard set. Blame probably falls on the o line which is fine, they are young. Good to see them resign Vernon Carey, hoping they'll find a good vet guard in free agency. Justin Smiley is OK and I know the coaches were high on the kid that went down in the first game but I think a good solid vet could really bring this O line togehter.

Kendall Simmons or even Mike Goff could really do it for the Fins. Both very experienced and come from teams with great running games. Goff may be a more short term though he is getting old.

i was too young for the montana-era

I'll trade all of our QB's, our head coach, and a bag of footballs for your QB. Then I want our team to sign another QB that can actually compete with him for a starting job.

Vikings QB's under Brad Childress: Brad Johnson, Kelly Holcomb, Brooks Bollinger, Koy Detmer, Tarvaris Jackson, Gus Frerotte, John David Booty
