Yeah,eli's no slouch.he steps it up at the right time,while slomo is a fair weather QB.Although in the clutch against the skins,it was romo that stepped up and eli,that couldn't get it done.I guess the real point is-they're both decent,but inconsistent,just like Vick,btw.writings on the wall

I wouldn't really call him inconstant, his only really bad game was against the redskins, and that's because your guys front 7 handled our offensive line, if theres one thing really positive I can say about the redskins. It's that your guys front 7 is really good.

not at all bro, you saw me just put eli in the best 6 QBs in the league but still, i would NOT want him as the face of my franchise. no swag, boring, quiet confidence, no headlines and maddenly inconsistent in the season. you can defend him all you want but his career stats speak for themselves. he could not do what he does without a top 5 defense in the superbowl years.

Agreed. The o-line never gets the credit they deserve. "Great" qb's wouldn't be able to get those throws off without them.

with stats or wins? cuz that was a crappy rookie season with the win/lost record. Andy Dalton had a better year where the stats matter...and he did it in a tougher division
Just a little note: our defense was 29th against the pass and 19th against the run last year....
And I guess we can agree to disagree, I really enjoy Eli's personality, I'll take the boringness of him and our team as a whole over the circus show known as the jets...

cms-the skins front is dominant-and getting better! w/the additions on offense,they will be dangerous this year.
....strangely enough-the last time the skins won the sb was the year after the giants,'91-the first championship they won was w/ a rookie QB-'37-Sammy Baugh broke all the records and the skins invented the screen pass,which was unveiled in the championship game,against the Bears who we play this week.
Have any other rookie qb's won the big game?
