preseason games are useless, prob just wanted to get a better look at t-hill. moore will start. wasn't david garrard considered the lead candidate to be the starter heading into camp or am i getting them mixed up with tennesee?

Yeah he was but he's injured right now, they say when he gets back (after week 1) he could become the starter

that blows my mind.....i would think we've seen david garrards ceiling in jacksonville, i thought matt moore has more upside at this point of both of their careers. i must be too high on matt moore.

I guess, but that 6-3 record with a team that was previously 0-7 is pretty impressive

That would be fine if he had no fault in any of the 7 loses. Three of those 7 loses where his, two of those loses he failed to do what it takes to win a ball game 15-0 against Denver and had a lead going into the 4th against the Giants, both loses. Had a 87 Qb rating last year yet his 4th quarter rating was a pathetic 68, not a winning type QB.

Plus a the loss against Dallas was same 4th quarter lamness. He shouldve been 9-3 as a starter instead of 6-6 but he just doesn't have it.

I'm high on matt Moore too, but David Garrard was a pro bowler in 09 and is in my opinion still one of the better quarterbacks in the league

Oh I didn't know he was 6-6 and I will admit, those stats do say a lot about his winning ways, but I still think he can grow into a solid starter over time. I remember when he started in Carolina and I just felt like he had potential even back then.
