can someone tell me why we need a big song and dance by anyone before a game?..And if we do then it should be something hardcore instead of these pop divas, country bumpkins,or whoever the frack ceelo is.
I like football,but......
A a SEAHAWKS fan, I completely agree that it was an interception. But to say that they should be 1-2 is also incorrect. How could anyone have watched the game and say that? Greenbays scoring drive was because of a blown pass interference call by the same refs that blew the interception call. If they would have called the correct incomplete pass call, the Packers would have punted the ball, that makes the score 7-6 SEAHAWKS. Also giving Seattle the ball with about 9 minutes left on the clock. I know that the refs also blew a pass interference call on the Seahawks drive but regardless of that call, they still would have had the lead 7-6, if it wasn't for the blown call on Greenbays drive. Everyone is focusing on that last play of the game. There were other calls that would have screwed Seattle over if the last call wasn't in their favor. The Seahawks completely man handled them defensively and shut down one of the best QBs in the league. They blew the call at the end but they also blew other calls that had a major impact on the final score as well. I just don't like the fact that this blown call is taking away from the amazing game the Seattle D played. IMO the final score SHOULD have been 7-6 SEAHAWKS.. Everyone can talk about would of, could of and should of. It is what it is though. NFL.com standings say the Seahawks are 2-1. Also, Wilson may not be putting up Cam Newton rookie season numbers.. But Peyton Manning also put up horrible numbers in his rookie season and look at what he became. I'm not saying Wilson will reach the level as Peyton, but who really knows after 3 games what he will become??
if it were an interception, which i also agree with, then why would they not be 1-2?
i think you guys are getting my point, wilson's numbers so far are not good, not bad either, just not good. in recent years we've seen rookie QBs put up better numbers. in these same recent years....there's not been vary many QB busts. please list any of them that has come since the flacco/matt ryan years. we're talking picked in the first 2 rounds, no later
its a tv show really ,not a game... the nfl is watched ,mostly by people who dont know football but can quote fantasy stats going back 5 yrs. (or more )...so the product is clearly secondary to the "song and dance" aspect (including the game)of the show
rookie qb's arent supposed to be that good.not lika cam or the Griffin, but the guy drafted by the cards was a bust, the 9ers qb was considered a bust, when you consider how long it took him to develop into an ok qb.looks like tampas qb might be a bust but not sure if he was 1st rd. mccoy? what about Tebow?I dont consider him a bust, but others might.Wilson looks good for a rook.like I said, they should have been 2-0 going into that game.did you have a point?lol
I'll acknowledge your point on McCoy but what round was tebow? You're going off history of the game and I'm putting the cut off at 5 years back. I don't care about the bums of yesteryears. I'm talking trend, not history. I can throw out 2 or 3 successful QBs for every bad 1 you can name in the last 5 years.
