In case anyone really wondered how bad these referees are, the Lingerie Football League had fired these referees back in August, if not earlier.

Yes, that's right, a "joke" football league has a higher level of standards & integrity than the NFL. This NFL season should have an asterisk after it for sure.

Also, I have to give referee #84 some credit since he called that play an interception.

Just came across this one: Open letter from NFLRA executive director on lockout.

This confirms to me beyond reasonable doubt that Roger Goodell & the rest of the NFL executives are a bunch of tools. The main reason for the actual referees not coming to an agreement yet is because the NFL wants to screw them out of their retirement money by changing the rules on them rather than agreeing to a grandfather clause to allow the NFL to get its way with retirement for new referees while not screwing the current ones. Those referees were hired under that retirement deal, so the NFL is & should be obligated to honor it.

All this hype about that call? Who cares man...GB no one likes anyways.... And the booth even reviewed it so it isn't on the reffs

a lot of people care about the Packers... but besides that, if you enjoy the game at all you should care.

Bad calls are made ALL the time... That wasn't the first time... Come on now.... Life goes on.... Its just a GAME

believe me, I know it's just a game and my life goes on... I'm no superfan. BUT I do enjoy watching it, and having lived in Wisconsin I like the packers. This wasn't just a bad call though, it was obvious they blew it. If you enjoy the game enough to be posting here you'd want it to be fair. There was no way that was even close, and it shows the NFL execs don't care about the game, just about $$. If you read Wiggles link above you'd see that all they have to do is grandfather in the current refs for their existing retirement package and 90% of the problem would be solved. They have enough money to do this, people pay tons of money to this sport....

It's good to see a SF fan trying to take some heat off a division rival! We could all take a lesson from kingorock, let's just look forward to next week.

I'm a Seattle fan, and yeah, the ref made the wrong call, and the Booth let it stand. But let's look at the rest of the game, the only touchdown greenbay got came after a bad pass interference call that gave them a 1st down that should have been 4th. If both calls had been corrected, Seattle still would have won the game.

And plus, 8 sacks on Aaron Rogers, held to 0 in the first half, that's pretty cool.

Look at it this way: These referees seem to be getting worse rather than getting better; more "won" games will be lost due to their poor performance. The "lesser" leagues (LFL, XFL, small college divisions, etc.) dumping these guys should've been a good enough indicator of their abilities (or lack thereof). The NFL needs to get rid of them now before players get hurt as a result of the referees' poor performance & games are decided by blown calls rather than the actual performances of the players.
