Just trying to show how flawed the BCS ranking system is. Duke is currently ranked # 24 in the BCS rankings., yet they will be playing for the ACC championship. If Duke should beat FSU, should they then play for the national championship? Duke will probably be ranked 20th in the BCS standings on Monday. FSU is good, but not the best football team in the nation. The BCS system is flawed.
Auburn loss, the others didnt. If i drop auburn into florida states schedue and they were undefeated, by your own argument they dont deserve to be 1 or 2. Conferences are irrelevant when undefeated teams emerge

good luck ....YOUR BOYS ARE GONNA NEED IT,,,smells to me like the same "WE CAN'T LOSE"I was hearing out of CHOKEGENE, OREGON about a month ago,got news for ya ...your team can't handle STANFORD...good luck playing a team with real speed... btw as things in the B(C)S stand.. your team has as much right to CLAIM they are #2 AND WORTHY OF THE SPOT... but imo they couldn't get past the 1st round of a real playoff
I just went back and re read the last few pgs. of the thread and am really amazed how many people want to argue who deserves to be in a championship game ,,, mostly based on their own lack of knowledge of the sport.... NOBODY can possibly pick 2 teams out of 125 and say they got it right .. NOT the b(c)s... NOT THE COACHES POLL(mostly voted on by asst. AD's).. not the press ,AND LEAST OF ALL,not the FANS.... you watch your team(and conference )and decide you have the best team(yay. we beat roast beef tech 78-7)... you can argue all day and it proves NOTHING.. the B(C)S can play a championship(?)..and it proves NOTHING...why ?..because the same idiots who "pick" the teams that will be in "THE GAME" ARE THE SAME idiots who had BAMA and OREGON penciled in 3 weeks ago..(in ink)...your gonna tell me THEY have a clue?...and next year your gonna "fix" the system by having more idiots pick 4 teams instead of 2? the fix is in alright.. and it's that the powers that be are gonna feed you this crap as long as you buy it....JOE JASCOT is the only 1 that got it right...IT'S A JOKE...and you all are buying...it's the biggest scam since ENRON...I liked the old bowl system better...at least they didn't pretend it to be anything more than a mythical championship..

BTW, no one here has said the BCS is the best system but repeatedly people have pointed out we're discussing how things are within the current system. It's also been pointed out you can cry that your so call ideal system is also flawed if say......I want the top 24 teams in? I can throw any number I want out there. We should talk about the bcs while it lasts and leave the playoffs to next year. Theyve already decided the system is flawed

Except we won't see Northern Illinois in the championship game. I'd contend Alabama is still better than every team that will be above them in the rankings, except the one that beat them.
Well no, luckily we have other unbeatens and I don't have to acknowledge that. Now if Lee were rahrah about them deserving to be in the title game under the current system, I'd believe he really wants everyone with a good season to make the title game under these rules. Instead its Stinky U with 2 losses deserves as much a chance as team awesome with multi undefeated seasons.
