just gotta say in the last couple years, Virginia Tech can beat almost any team, but they lose to some bad teams in the worst way possible.
*leading Miami 28-14 at half

i think the polish is off that apple(MIAMI) it's a shame ,it was a nice story

As well they should...Ala has actually played Top 10 teams this year. Undefeated means NOTHING when you haven't played anybody--you know, like Oregon, Ohio State, etc. Baylor looked great against Oklahoma, but still. A game against OK is not like a schedule of FL, LSU, A&M, GA, Auburn. Play people before you stake a claim for the title. Why's this so hard for people to understand?

said it before, AND I'LL say it AGAIN .. THE SEC is a fine conference with a lot of good teams ,,,but the sec championship game should NOT be an automatic qualifier just because the teams MIGHT be better than every other conference winner.. we don't KNOW that .. ... as it stands right now you have to play in the sec to KNOW you have a good shot at the title game .. so this aids sec recruiting .. A REAL PLAYOFF WHERE EVERY TOP FLIGHT TEAM gets a chance to play will level out recruiting ,and give EVERY major conference equal chances at top players ..... just because it IS doesn't mean it should be .. that's why there was such a movement towards a playoff.. which has turned into another bcs like "selection committee" joke .... but the SEC is certainly putting on a nice show tonight

nice win for VA. TECH:)

BAMA LOOKS MIGHTY GOOD ..guess I can't complain about them in the title game:)(if they win out)
EDIT... watching the FRESNO STATE game... don't know what the NFL thinks of DAVID CARR'S brother as a prospect..but one thing is for sure ..he has a first rate NFL ARM

I am currently witnessing one of the greatest individual games of football ever....MILES JACK...FRESHMAN linebacker UCLA 7 tackles 1 for loss.. now comes the fun part .. he started playing RUNNING BACK 2 DAYS AGO IN practice.. tonite 6 carries 120 yrds. and a 66 yrd td run where he left the entire uofa defense in the dust...:headbang2

even if BAMA loses , and they look like they could , they still will get the benefit of the doubt with the voters ,and probably the computers, they unfortunately , will most certainly get into the BCS game over an undefeated MAJOR CONFERENCE TEAM(OHIO ST.?or BAYLOR):nilly:

Big-10 has 12 teams. Big-12 has 10 teams. Neither has won a national championship in recent memory (at LEAST the last 7 years). Baylor hadn't played a nationally ranked opponent until 2 days ago.

Half the SEC could beat Ohio State, or Baylor. Go get a clue.

.. A REAL PLAYOFF WHERE EVERY TOP FLIGHT TEAM gets a chance to play will level out recruiting ,and give EVERY major conference equal chances at top players .....

So the SEC is dominating now because other conferences can't recruit top players? Other "top flight" teams don't "get a chance"? Look at you. Seriously. Listen to what you sound like.

Oh. And looking back at a little college football history, calling the Big-10 a "MAJOR CONFERENCE" strains credibility (not credulity). They just haven't won enough national titles. Penn State's 2 titles before they joined the conference don't count. subtracting those would put the Big-10 just barely above the ACC--which by the way is a much more competitive conference this year. Clemson and FSU are BOTH much better football teams than Ohio State, and neither are undefeated.

Get a clue.
