Youre argument regarding the "unfair" recruiting of talent in the SEC just collapsed on itself. But, what do I know, Im an ignorant hillbilly redneck cotton picker.

Haters gonna hate. RTR!

what unfair recruiting?... teams in the sec have the advantage of being in the championship every year because of the bcs system being a joke.. it's simple EVERY OTHER SPORT HAS A PLAYOFF SYSTEM ....except college football...the sec has a good conference...they don't need the help ,,, if you can't figure out that the bcs "picking"2 teams out of 125 per year and 1 sometimes both of them being from the same conference as a recruiting advantage ..ya I would say I described you pretty well.. it goes for ANY conference that would be given a bid based on the premise they are better just because everybody among the fans and media "AGREES' they are... in the nfl you don't give out extra playoff spots to a division or conference because its"better ",,,that way the competitive balance remains equal,, every team has the same chance .. every year ..not an advantage based on what you did for the last 6 years or what the media or fans think ..... ONE MORE TIME FOR THE TERMINALLY SLOW... this is not an anti sec post it's a post about the fact college football has become a showcase for 1 conference due to the broken bcs system AND THE FUTURE 4 TEAM PLAYOFF , WITH A "SELECTION"COMMITTEE..... :) nobody seems to want to admit that 2 big 12 also- rans came into the sec and instantly made an impact at the top .... hardly a case for the SEC AS THE "BEST" conference...

So quick to forget how you pointed out Texas A&M and Missouri's success in the SEC with recruits from other conference to make one argument to bash the SEC which completely contradicts your other argument regarding the BCS and the SECs ability to recruit.

Not defending the BCS but how can you fault them when 9 of the 14 BCS Championships have been won by SEC teams? Right now, the SEC is on top, period.

By the way, in the south they taught us to use paragraphs.

just for the slow one more time... lets see if it takes...THIS IS NOT "FAULTING ":)THE SEC DOES not currently enjoy a recruiting advantage that is obvious ,it happens over time and feeds on itself(becoming self sustaining.).. ask ANY AD OR COACH YOU KNOW... being in THE game every year IS a recruiting advantage... WITH A PLAYOFF every TEAM would enjoy the same chance at the beginning of the season... an equal chance based on merit (winning your own conference) NOW GO AHEAD AND ARGUE HOW THAT SYSTEM WOULD NOT BE BETTER ...and as far as the paragraph ......save it for someone else .. I probably need grammar lessons but the talent would be wasted on this thread

I've lived in the South all my life. For someone to say that the media/BCS/committee favors the SEC is just laughable. To say that ANYTHING in America is stacked in favor of ANYTHING Southern is just not realistic. Not since the Civil War. I can't believe I'm hearing someone seriously say this. I think this idea that teams are ranked where they are, and given preferential treatment in national championship games, because they "look better on TV" is more applicable to the Northern and Western teams. That's where the "big media markets" are, that's where the sportswriters live and work, and that's where they all went to college--NOT the South.

But hey! Don't worry about it. Because I'm sure next year's playoff system will finally end the SEC's dominance of college football.....:) I'm sure we'll finally all get to see just how "MAJOR" the Big-12, Big-10, and PAC-whatever conferences really are. Really, I just can't wait to see all these "MAJOR" conferences play ball against the top 3-4 SEC football teams every year. Should be real competitive. ROTFL.

the 4 team "selection committee"playoff will be the same old puddle of dog poo...give invites to the "prettiest teams"... the one part of my posts that sec fans don't (scared of?)wan't to address is the 8 team playoff based on WINNING SOMETHING(your conference)...it's not supposed to identify the "BEST"CONFERENCE, but reward teams based on taking care of their own business during the regular season... it's a very simple plan and easy to implement 8 CONFERENCES .. 8 conference winners... 8 playoff spots for those teams... if the sec wins every year (and they may)so be it , they EARNED IT...it's really very simple and fair ,,, or does THAT SCARE THE SEC?:) go on tell me how it won't work ,,, it works in EVERY other sport at ALL levels.. the bcs has somehow found the only fan base anywhere that would accept a 2 team (out of 125) "playoff" as a viable system... a 4 team playoff based even more on the "beauty contest factor" is supposed to fix that?

4 Game playoff is still better than what they have now. Even if you took the top 4 as of right now, odds are you still end up with a 'bama/fsu championship game.

 ME....(get it?):)clearly they didn't .. seeing they posted replies

Im referring to the 3 hours of posts that you kept posting with no interaction

I honestly don't even mind a selection committee for a 4 team playoff. It sounds better then using only the 2 computers rankings and one human poll.

Truth is no one will ever be completely happy. Some 4 loss conference champ will get in with 8 and all the hoopla will start up again

this is true but a small pile of dog poo ...is still a pile of dog poo.. I just can't figure out why when somebody want's a level playoff system that is somehow "anti-sec".. they deserve the same chance as everybody else .. and they ARE a fine conference...but A&m and MIZZOU.. Clearly demonstrate that the sec isn't light years ahead of everybody else, they were also- rans in the big 12:)
