BREAKING NEWS::::::FLORIDA ST...... JAMEIS WINSTON has been linked, through DNA to the alleged victim of a sexual assault last December......this would be the perfect opportunity to repeat my claim that the BCS is A JOKE.... you now have the CLEAR #2 TEAM IN THE COUNTRY POISED TO PLAY IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP , in limbo,,,no clear outcome to this mess and.... their star player about to be arrested?HOW ABOUT WE GET THE CHAMPIONSHIP PARTICIPANTS FROM A TRUE PLAYOFF(not a 4 team "selection"committee farce ,either),,,, stay tuned for more,,,AS THE BCS TURNS(into a bigger joke)
soon to be ..I think..remember last post on the subject.. WHEN We talked about fla st . putting out a press release saying that he was "NOT" SUSPENDED, and would play against SYR.?...that's always the first step in "getting the fans ready"... for the inevitable arrest and suspension,,, IT MAY not "criminal" or deceptive really.(FLA.ST HIGHER UPS,obviously new this soon to be arrest was a possibility).the one thing to remember about college sports is ,the university is a part of the community and relies on the community's "good faith".. reminds me a little of the PENN ST. scandal in that the interests of the community and the victim took a back seat to football... but so far no "cover up"... so no real crime or misconduct on the part of FLA. ST. ..That we know of...sure does screw up a nice season for 'NOLES fans if he is arrested.. at that point he will have to be suspended..IMO,,,stay tuned
are you sure we know there's no cover up? maybe not by the school but it appears there could be by the police department
when have we ever seen someone getting suspended without being charged and going to trial? to me it look like they were trying to get ahead of the press, not warn their fans. how would you justify to your fan base suspending someone without them being convicted? he'd have to break a football or team rule for them to suspend him right now.
otherwise i'm calling in a fake rape against aj mccarron and braxton miller. all i need is their gf's underwear
it'll be interesting to see if there's actually enough evidence to press charges at this point. i hope they collected everything they needed at the time she reported this cuz i'd hate to see him get off if he did something wrong. if she's lying, i hope she rots for wrecking his life

sounds like, from what I have heard,the alleged victim and her family were "warned" by the investigating detective against pursuing criminal action against an FSU PLAYER... whether that was just telling it like it is or an attempted cover up is to be judged later...COLLEGE players ARE suspended all the time for things that aren't even criminal.... so IF WINSTON is arrested THE NATIONWIDE pubic outcry will dictate Fsu's decision... imo...this is 1 we shall have to wait and see on..my rant still remains about the joke that is THE BCS... and how the problems of 1 player can throw the legitimacy of the whole system into question..8 team playoff solves this whole mess.. then WINSTON'S "problem"is a sidenote rather than the LEAD story in the pursuit of finding a national champion...gotta run to the store ,let's see how things break as the day goes on....

whole team shouldn't be punished for the actions of one player though, they'll still have earned the right to the title game.
exactly , BUT... without WINSTON... that isn't the same team, that went 10-0,,, SOOOO...under the current pathetic system do you give FSU the spot,,, or a team that is still intact..... an 8 team playoff solves all that,,, the 2 teams that survive the tounament have earned it... has FSU(without WINSTON)EARNED IT?.. or is it OSU..or BAYLOR?...the SYSTEM IS 1 BIG MESS.....

i still would think FSU without winston earned it.....because you know nothing about the next man's up ability. their schedule was kinda buttery soft anyways, they may still be 10-0. ohio state used a back up for a few games and came away unscathed, infact, he put up better numbers then braxton miller.
plus you're not looking at next man up coming off the bench cold mid game, you're potentially looking at next man up with plenty of first team rep to end the season and a month to prepare for the title game. if bama lost mccaaron right now, would you write them off? no, because that team is a beast and could still beat you with that D and running the ball. that's why i'm glad we're just going to go by the records at the end and not people's opinion on who the best is.
i'm not sure why this became open season on the bcs, it sucks, a player getting suspended doesn't make it any better or worse.
