What do you mean makes no sense? Let's say the game ends with a score of Denver 21 and NE 17. NE wins with the spread but looses the game stright up. I think they will be close games. I also think Denver has a solid defence and enough offenseve weapons to get it done. I put no weight on past games or records with these two teams. I've said before I have no dog in this hunt so I just pick based on what I see with no bias one way or the other. Other than the line who ever wins I think we will see some close hard fought games this weekend. But I agree we will have to wait and see my Magic 8 Ball wouldn't even commit, so go figure.

I get the mathematics and reasoning, it just baffles me. We just see 2 different outcomes. I bet based on seasonal stats and historical outcomes, not of which reflect Denver winning a close battle. I meant no disrespect, it is always intriguing to see a point of view so different than mine in someone smart enough to explain it.
 
No disrespect takin. It's cool, if I was always right I'd be 16-0 every week which is clearly not the case. Besides that it would be a boring thread if everyone agreed and made the same picks every week. ;)
 
How do you even take in past games in Denver vs NE? Theyve played like what? Twice with current QBs or are people pulling in the colt history? Wasnt the outcome this year 3 points? Seems recent history does suggest the possibility of a close game. It also suggests a wild 24 point swing either direction. What a nightmare

Key part you missed Eddie. I said if it WAS a close game pats would win it. Either that or broncos win a landslide
 
Am I the only other guy other than Justin and TeeJay that like the 49er's? I know I didn't pick them but they are a great team. If they win Sunday I could see them winning it all, not much of a stretch.

I didn't pick against them because I don't like them, I try never to let emotion get in the way of my picks. I'll pick against the GIANTS if I don't think they'll win. I'm not on the payroll......lol.

Ugh, screw them boys. If they managed to sneak by the hawks, I will enjoy watching them get their dreams crushed in the super bowl again. What will john sneak them next year for a 6th round pick?

Personal feelings aside, yes SF wins alot but I think Denver and Pats could be the best two teams in the NFL so even if SF wins over the Seahawks I think they still have a tougher battle ahead
