I do believe it didnt cost them a thing to bring him in. He had a performance contract. No perform no money. No signing bonus etc.. Basically a "No risk" addition. He would be a 3rd string QB or move to a different position. But id think he sees something in him for a reason..
You're not wrong. Belechik has always had glowing things to say about him prior to this year too. Plus add in the coach who drafted him being on the staff.
Practice squad QB, can be scout team QB for upcoming games against the teams that run read option or wildcat. Nobody else wants him so little chance of another team signing him away if place on practice squad.
Why would you take someone who can't QB to be your practice squad QB? Why not just take you? Or Garth from section 228 row A?
Really like watch Kyle Long man handle d-linemen, can't wait for him to learn technique. For the last four years bears o-line looked like a reenactment of the twit race so its nice to see anybody that belongs in the nfl line up.
first off it cost the pats nothing to bring him over. he has a great work ethic and is someone any team woyld like to have motivating players. also josh mcdaniels(pats O cordinator) drafted tebow when he was head coach at broncos. tebow also spent last year wasted by rex ryan and the jets(division rival) so with all that and the potential he may have learned how to throw the ball... theres no risk other than foolish media hype(pats are very good at controling and humbling players) and the rewards could b very good. unfortunately he still cant throw a ball as well as even say vince wilfork and if it werent for his pure football skill, mostly running, id say there was a 0% chance he makes the 53 man team. belichick is a mastermind and may have a secret use for him but i am skeptical.
Vikings fan here, LOVED our draft but Christian Ponder might be one of the worst football players I have seen in awhile. Lets hope that changes this year.

There is a name that makes me cringe ever time I hear it.. Josh Mcdaniels............. Almost single handed flushed Denver down the toilet. Some may not think so But if he was such a great head coach im sure he would still be one.
watching pats preseason game wondering how anyone can be a tebow fan. this is embarassing that his only spiral of the night sailed 10' over his reciever into the arms of a bucs player. switch positions and fight for a spot as a RB
