Yes, F1 is the ultimate in motorsport.

But Vettel is not #1...that goes to Fernando Alonso!

Check the current points standings...Alonso is leading the championship and 42 points ahead of Vettel at the halfway point of the season.

But they are both remarkable drivers and at the top of F1...hoping to make it to Austin in a few months for the USGP.

Correction sir, his racing number is #1, why? cause he's current world driver champion, a title that someone has to take away from him to have it, not to mention ... Wait for it.... BACK TO BACK WDC NOT TO MENTION YOUNGEST!

Alonso may be a little ahead but its only the middle of the season, don't count ur chickens yet my friend.....

So yes Sebastian Vettel is #1 I wasn't just saying it metaphorically.... Lmao

Atleast ur an F1 fan, I can't respect that.

Go S. Vettel #1 rb8

42 points is a big lead...that #1 on the helmet is going to somebody else this year.

Vettel won back to back mainly because he had by far the best car those years...this year that's clearly not the case and look how that team's drivers have fallen back down the field.

Look at Alonso now, everyone knows the Ferrari is no where near the best car in the field, yet he's won the most races this year and leads the championship by a considerable margin.

Could Vettel do that...I doubt it!

And looking at the stats this year...he hasn't!

Putting all the drivers in identical cars would settle the argument, but that's not going to happen.

You are a lucky guy!

Maybe, it hasn't happened the last 2 years, but this year.... PPPLEASE!

Putting all the drivers in identical cars would settle the argument, but that's not going to happen.

Cause that's not the point... its getting a team together with the best driver in the best car

If u want identical cars go watch indy series, f1 started as anything goes, any engine and parts, hell even the tyrell with 6 wheels, now it has come down to all the teams being babies, ferrari was going to pull out of f1 cuz newey and the rb7 was dialed in 100%, now the Fia has been banning parts off the rb8 left and right, but Williams can have a hollow chassis to run air threw and vent into the drs? Makes no sense other then f1is mainly about money, Vettel dominates for 2 years and all the non vettel fans boycott watching and attending races, so what do you think Fia is gonna do? they have to keep ratings up and the fans satisfied with close racing, again going against all the roots in formula one.

I was lucky to attend USA Indianapolis gp 05-06-07, in 07 we were in str pits, I met vettel cuz kubica was injured and vettel was a back up driver for Sauber, youngest ever to do a lap, and he placed 7th, from that day on it changed my life, I got out of a deep dark hole and was absolutly inspired by the will power and dreams of seb. Then in 08 he won at monza with an str, that's unheard of. Someone as passionate as me would automatically forget about f1 with its politic driven inspiration these days, but its more then just racing, its life.

I could go on all day but ill spare you guys.

And maxx I will be in Texas 2weeks after abu dhabi, let's hope for a good ending to a very controversial season. By this time last year vettel had already won his 2nd wdc, it was mathmatically immposible for anyone to get 1st.....would still be like that if it weren't for the money..... Off the throttle engine mapping was shear genious, any team could have engineered it not just rbr...

Anyways spa is in a week, can't wait to see all the new upgrades, see you in La Rogue boys, my favorite turn of any circuit

I repeat, VETTEL WON WHILE DRIVING A TORRO RUSSO (str), A TEAM NOT EVEN COMPETITIVE, AT MONZA IN 08. That shows even with a crap car he can still push it beyond its limits.

Nice cars guys. I don't have mine up and running yet. But I have a '95 Acura integura shell that I'm rebuilding to be rear wheel drive. Its Finns have a k20 out a Acura rsx and a Honda s2000 drivetrain. I haven't started to place the engine or drivetrain since the front end needs body work and possible extended to fit the new forward facing engine. I also thought about putting a fwd set up out of a prelude but the wheel base is longer compared to the s2000 or integura.
