Here's my toronado, its the same model.as jay lenos famous $100,000 toronado, he spent 100k to restore and customize his. This is an old luxury beast toteing a 455 front wheel drive, Leno.had his changed to rear wheel ans upgraded to a new vet racing engine. This thing has all the bells and whistles, even multi position elec seats , wich I didn't know they had back then.View attachment 803765View attachment 803766

Nice man! That things gonna be a beauty!

Thanks guys , we used to cruise in this when we were 19. I'm 30 now and never thought it would be my car. A shame my friend let it get destroyed , not a flake of rust when he picked it up, now some small amounts on wheel wells . Hopefully I can get her started up and clear out the cobwebs, unfortunately I have no room to work on it, can't even jack it up in my driveway due to the incline, this thing weighs almost 4000 pounds.

He was offered.good money for it a few years ago but coupdnt let it go, he came to me and asked for 1000 said he wouldn't give it to anyone else that if I didn't take it he would junk it, I went to get it gave him the grand ,he gave me back 500 and made me promise to fix it or junk it for the 500 I paid, I've spent more on one fish order

Sorry everyone for not being able to multiquote from multiple pages so I am going to post about the cars.

350z , I know Jim Wolf makes some sweet parts for the VQ. Have you done any research about running low boost? I dont know much about VQs , but they can be nasty fast. Good run on the Video!

Old School beetle- dude, that ****'s sweet!

Toronado - Cool car, I am sure you would need a crew to run that land yacht!

btw... Colossus, how much power are you running?

509 wheel. 20psi on E85. We were going to try and push it to 29/30psi, but we were having fuel issues- which was weird because I had enough fueling to power a cruise ship. (Three 340lph fuel pumpes ran through dual -6 feed lines to each side of the rail and a -8 return to the tank and ID1000 injectors)

Come to find out that the pumps were still wired into the stock ecu (F ME) and not externally to the AEM, resulting in a voltage cut from the ECU when the car went WOT again resulting in low fuel pressure. Live and learn.

The car is now stock, I parted it out to get my pilots license because its a requirement for getting a pilot slot in the airforce if youre not going through ROTC.

AFM, Ill try and find a dyno vid. I have one from Texas Supra nationals. When the put it on the dyno the guys who strapped it down forgot to put the fans on. It sat and idled for 10 min getting hot. It ran three pulls resulting in like 490ish. I was like turn the fans on!

IS' are sweet cars. I've got a 1960 beetle as my daily right now but looking to pick up a 98-05 gs300/400 in the next few months. Anyone know much about them? Would the 300 be the better choice for longevity with the v6?

GS300's are inline 6 and the GS400's are v8's I believe. You can go with either one. The GS300/IS300 come with same motor. 100K + on these motors is not uncommon. I dont know much about the V8's.

Man you got that perfect patina... *jealous* everything out here just rots.

Thanks, definitely lucky over here as far as old cars go. I saw it and had to have it! Crazy thing is it just sat in a field for 34 years and the only rust through is a tiny amount on the bottom of the doors

Thanks! Man that's a monster of an IS! Bummer you had to part it, bet it was a blast to drive.

All the gs300/400 I see are around the same price so I guess it's a matter of what I can find at the time haha Not worried about the 100k+ on the motor, just going to try and avoid buying one that's nearing the 200k mark. Only thing is I've read it's easier to swap a different motor into the 300 and being myself that's not out of the question.
Can't wait to pick one up and give it the coilover treatment!
