I found my next weapon! GSG-5!! With rising cost of ammo, the money Id save using .22LR vs 9mm is enough for me to pay the $200tax stamp to SBR and suppress this bad boy!! :headbang2

German sport guns is also coming out with a new 22lr AK.. I already have one on order. The GSG-5 is an awesome little gun..

On the NFA question I have a Semi-auto AKSU SBR and a Leningrad PPS-43 (technically C&R) and thats it.... too damn expensive and time consuming to get into these. I'm actually thinking of transferring both pretty soon.

Do you have any links for the AK version? I can't seem to find the GSG-5 anywhere. They are hot right now.

The more I think about it. the more I want to get some NFA goodies. With the up coming election and the chance Obama could get elected who knows what might happen, they could be good investments. Sadly the only FA weapons I can even get close to affording are MAC10/11s or prehaps an FN FNC sear but the rifle itself is nearly impossible to find! :(

I would LOVE to get a hold of a GSG-5. But I'm also very interested too to see the AK version. I've been shooting a lot of .22LR lately just because it's still somewhat cheap to shoot. I use to shoot loads of 7.62x39 and 5.56 but with the price of ammo climbing those days are over. :(

update: got my new front grip in. very nice, stury and lightweight aluminum. not bad for $20!

There really is other than this from the importer little about this gun so far. It was however designed with approval of Kalashnikov himself.. (Who ironicly is also a GSG-5 fan)

This is another one to watch:
Still a bit high priced but worth it really...

Wow, I really like the look of that MP44! I don't think I've ever seen that model advertised for sale or at a gun show. I'll have to keep my eyes peeled. What I really should do is renew my Shotgun News subscription. :duh:

What do you guys think of the Krinker-Plinker? My friend has one and he likes it a lot. I was considering picking up a kit for a Ruger 10/22.

I really dislike all the new looking weapons, like, Jcardona's m4 (no offense bro) and stuff like that. I'm into heavy wood stocks, crappy little iron sites, you know. the only new looking rifle i like is the Steyr AUG A1 because I like the look, you can remove the barrel and add a longer one for sniping (freaking awesome!) and it's the only rifle the Australian infantry (Rifleman not sas and special forces) use, apart from the minimi, which I believe is a machine gun?
