He did....drove the car off of a fishing platform and as he swam to shore and fled the scene he actually explained his actions to a witness.

Probably but it turns out that the vette belongs to the wife.He's now gonna have to pay her for destroying the car and he's got to answer to the police once they catch up to him.
And I presume he's gona get a nice bill for removing the car from the river , that won't come cheap :banghead:

The police dive unit went into thirty feet of water to find the car,partly to make certain no one was still inside of it.Once located the car was pulled out so yeah,I can see the department billing him for that in the form of restitution.
