As long as they are kept wet. Not sure the exact time before the Good bacteria start to die off, I'd think somewhere around 24-36 hours
 
power off over 14 hours & no severe fish stress or losses. I sure was nervous about what could happen when the canisters kicked back on, though.

When you first turn your filters back on don't run the stagnant water inside them into the tank. You can try to manually flush them out with tank water now to keep them from going foul and sour. Keep your water aerated. Even if you have to resort to manually lifting and dumping 5 gallon buckets a couple times per hour to oxygenate.
