we've all made stupid mistakes.

I fortunately have avoided any serious repercussions for my idiotic days

worst thing ever happened to me was get expelled for fighting in highschool
 
I had something similar happen but it turned into a suspended license. My grandpa got a ticket (same name but diff state as me) and it somehow ended up on my record. Had been sitting unpaid for 4-5 years. I ended up paying a grand to get everything squared away. Not a lot now but I was only 20 at the time. Took forever to pay that credit card off

Another crazy factoid of mine, that 10 year ticket, not my oldest outstanding ticket. I have another speeding ticket out of Inyo County that is probably 15 years old!! Another weird one. Started at like $200 and change, snowballed to like $1200, last I checked it was back to $200, and a warrant never issued, not that I'm aware of anyway.
 
Lame news mate :( hope you work it out and you get it all of the way soon , what's cs like over there ? Its terrible over here your either working in a charity shop with two 80 yr old woman talking crap all day about other woman or painting something like a church or community centre fence if your lucky during summer :banghead:

Lol, yea I've settled down, thanks.
Last CS I had was painting park benches. Man, they took us to a really nice park, it wasn't bad.
Community Service is usually doing some clean up somewhere, public spaces, side of the road type stuff. I'm not sure bc lots of changes have been made. Doesn't seem as easy anymore. I'll let you know what I get :D

What I think it comes down to is money, as usual. ...and probably attitude. The cops are aware of how much your warrants are, they probably weigh your attitude + the amount of your warrants against their downtime, paperwork time, "value of the bust" lol, and probably their own attitudes.
 
If its anything like the UK mate its all about money , everything seems to result in an extreme fine these days it drives me crazy especially driving related ones , I got a £70 parking ticket in five mins on Monday :mad::banghead:
Hope you get something half decent for cs mate and avoid the charity shop lol
