I think MAC's fish is that little one next to that other little one near that other little one to the right.

Good pic there!
Dude I think youre right!
What kind of net did you use to scoop him out with? One piece of advice, don't ever try to take him out when the tank is close to full... most of it will end up on the floor! :)
I didnt have a net handy so I just grabbed him gently, lot less stressful on him too I think.
But yeah I always gotta lower the water I cant net/grab them quick enough in high levels either.

very awesome....nothing better, imo, than a chunky, adult midas :D
Agreed!

GEEZ, what a porker! Don't suppose he has trouble eating lol

Thats a beast, would like to see some in tank pictures of him.

Took couple quick shots and made a little video for you too.

Haha sometimes he misses pellets sometimes, he eats somewhat like a goldfish... glop glop glop glop...
He's not as voracious as some cichlids I've kept or keep.
The Trimac is the worst.

 I'll have to agree with Ctrl_Alt_Dlt as well.

I believe mines was the most dominant at the SeaLevel, him and the female took over the middle of the tank when they were there.

Did the mother have patterns on his fins?

Here's a pic of mines a few months back, he still look pretty much the same. Should be having another growth spurt any day now.

Looks healthy and Im sure he is.
The parents had markings on fins when they were adolescents but yellow.
Fins turned white or orange now.
Can still kinda see it in his tail, just kinda filled in.

What a beauty!!! Can't wait to see him in person. Love his look, he has a even shorter face and taller than my guy in my avatar:WHOA::drool:.

BTW great pix and video.
Glad you like the pictures and video.
Am I gonna need to weld a steel lid on though before you get here?
The snubnose comes with age.
He used to have a snout...

I just bought one of the females. She as a decent hump on her, so I hope she and my barred midas produces some humpy midas.
