update!!! my mate is still a dick!!! he hasnt got a cat fish..... but is getting a red bellied pacu, 2 oscars and a jag cichlid!!!!! in a 180g!!!!

i think hes looking into getting them all from small, something is bound to get eaten!!!!

Those fish Might work, especially if they grew up together. They are more aggressive than the Oscar, but not as big. The Jaguar is both bigger AND more aggrerssive, thats why the guys dont recomend that.

There is no certainty when you are mixing those big fish, they have individual personalties, but some things are almost allways doomed to fail, others almost always work.

At least he is starting to think about fish that can actually live in that tank.

Possibly retards... Or possibly informed people with large setups like wet whiskers or justonemoretank ... JohnPTC Arapaimag... There are tons of people that house these fish responsibly.


OP tell him to skip the pacu , two oscars and a jag in a 180 is not that bad if he can handle the aggression.

i given up on him getting rid of the pacu, he keepin it.

i thought people said the jag would eat oscars??
