The thing is that braid doesnt degrade as much as mono when its pulled apart like that. Also mono has a lot of friction(so when casted out of a spinning real it catches more) while braid is very slippery and runs over itself easier.
Yep that what I love my Power Pro, that and I pulled a 12+lbs fish out of thick deep cover. I love it for Frogg'n Power Pro lays on the water which is great for Frogg'n. Well the Bass don't thing so, but I do.
quick question is power pro only made in threaded? no mono line? and if so how often do u change the line then cause i heard it get weaker over time from being in the water to much

Hmmmmm.... if they have a mono mix I don't know about it, and don't think I'd ever use it either. I change my power pro line 2~3 times per year, but thats cause I fish like a demon and I leave the line for many months in a hot dry place. I fish power pro on my reels in Florida I go to Florida three~four times per year, the rest of the time the rods and reels sit in the gargage awaiting my return. Though one year I didn't change the line at all, and was broken off at the worst possible time.
Doesn't when I do it, I've gone redfishing and snook and then in the late afternoon gone LMB fish, but in Florida most of all the freshwater has some salt in it. Because I've caught LMB, Snook, Tarpon and Sheepheads in the same waters.
i go fishing about 6 hours a week do u think its alrite if i change the line only 2 times a year? dont want to spend to much just want to have quality line

Yes I think that that's a perfect amount of changes unless your a shark fishermen. But yeah 2 times per year is more than enough.
Things that you need to remember with lines such as Power Pro, when handling with snags or freeing up lures that are stuck. Never wrap the line around your bare hands. Tighten the line up, point rod and tip in direction of snag hold one hand on spool and slowly pull or walk rod backwards. Power Pro while )))SLICE((( to the bone, and beyond if given a chance.
While it's not reguired it can't hurt, try to make sure that at least the tip eye is made of metal or ceramic. And if you ever send you real in for maintainence make sure to either remove the line or what I do the spools. My reels are rated for 30lbs test line, under the warrantee they could say sorry, so I don't give them a chance.
My use of Power Pro is kinda refine, I use 30lbs in freshwater, which as the same thickness as 8lbs mono, I set my drag to roughly 10~12lbs when fishing freshwater. I use the Power of Power Pro to free snags and for pulling fish through weeds. I also have a med action one piece rod that I use for both freshwater and medium saltwater action in the bays for Redfish, Snook and other fish in that range. I also keep 30 Power Pro on that reel, but I set the drag a bit higher 15lbs~18lbs. I once had a Redfish, double back under the boat very quickly the rod I was using at the time couldn't take the stress and CRACK, it snapped but I still landed the Red because the line didn't snap.
thats like the same kind of fishing i do, i live down in south east texas and do alot of red fishing and sometime take that same pole and go for bass. i had threaded line before from spider wire but had to change it after 2month of fishing for 10-15 hours a week. the line became very weak.
I usually stick with mono cause Im tired of breaking rods on two pound fish and nearly breaking my wrist as well! It is good stuff though and its too $$ for the kind of fishing I do as you loose ALOT of line due to the rocks.
