In future, a better symptomatic description than "at the top behind a filter" will be needed. Provide a pic, if possible, plus water parameters from test results, temp, filtration, physiological observations, etc. We all want to help. But, we'll need something tangible to base the help on. Sometimes the 'fish diagnosis' crystal ball has to go out for calibration.
well hes back to hanging out in the corner nd i figured out what it was. my cichlids are picking on it. i dont know what to do. i hope to get a bigger tank for christmas but what can i do in the mean time?
I would just find a way to divide the senegal for the time being. What some people do is find an appropriately sized rubbermaid container that fits within the frame of the tank, drill holes in it so water can flow through and have a sort of "hospital" area in there. I don't know what a larger tank would do in this instance. Maybe you can separate until you put some size on the senegal...or possibly put a few more hiding spots in the tank.
