Oh nooo!!!! Fx5 no longer working

So yesterday after a waterchange I plugged the fx5 back in and after the initial purge nothing happened... I'm aware it stops for a few minutes but it literally did nothing.. No sounds at all.. So thinking maybe it was the impeller I took that apart and cleaned it. Plugged it in (dry) and it spun so was thinking all was well but after attaching it back to the canister still nothing... I don't want to lose my fish or beneficial bacteria so what's my best option running with no filter possibly till the end of the week when I can get the parts in?

+1. This happened to me a couple weeks ago. A bag of carbon broke open and some grains got caught in that tube that leads to the impeller. I cleaned the impeller, and rinsed the cannister bucket out THOROUGHLY. There were little bits of carbon everywhere. After that, it worked perfectly for me.

+2. This has happened to me on several occasions, on both of my fx5s. Just empty it, pull the 4 screws holding the motor, remove the impeller and rinse it, re-assemble and it should be good to go.
