Well, the past 48 hours of owning the little guys has been... AWESOME. They ate everything I tried feeding them, including Ken's Premium Growth Pellets, Ken's Shrimp Pellets, and chopped earthworm. I was expecting a bit of a struggle at first, but there was no hesitation on their part.


I'm very happy I ended up buying all three of them.

After a few days of having them, and having no problems whatsoever (besides my BGK headbutting, and nipping the little guys when they go behind the slate/pvc caves -- the BGK lives back there), I decided to test out my water parameters, and see if putting these guys in was a complete success...

Well, I checked everything, and it's all near perfect (knock on wood). My nitrites/ammonia are at 0, my ph is at 6.0-6.2, and my nitrates are 10-20 ppm.

Needless to say I'm happy.

I'm going to continue doing a Monday and Thursday 1/4 WC schedule, and see how long that holds up. It's going 90% better than I ever thought it would (10% just because I knew it would be pretty sweet anyway :naughty:).
 
Congrats on your babies! I picked up a sen not too long ago, and he has some personality, he's only about 2.5-3" and he's great, hope yours stay awesome, GL. :D
 
They are already putting on some size. They have been eating well. Their staple has been the growth pellets, and I've been supplementing with shrimp pellets, and earthworms. I'm going to make sure not to over feed them, they look pretty healthy right now... not as skinny as when I first got them.

I'll try to get pics up tomorrow to show.
