O.J. Simpson and co-defendant Clarence "CJ" Stewart were found guilty on 12 criminal charges, including kidnapping, conspiracy, and armed robbery. In a bizarre coincidence, the verdict was announced late Friday night, 13 years to the day after Simpson was acquitted of killing his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson and friend Ronald Goldman.
Simpson was convicted on charges relating to a September 2007 incident where Simpson and Stewart confronted two memorabilia dealers, Bruce L. Fromong and Alfred Beardsley, in an effort to retrieve personal items that Simpson claims were stolen from his trophy room.
Depending on the sentencing of Judge Jackie Glass, the 61-year-old Simpson could spend the rest of his life in jail. Lawyers for Simpson will likely appeal the result immediately. In the meantime, Simpson has been remanded into custody until he is sentenced on December 5.
