Ok for fish to eat??

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Around here I go fishing and catch sunfish all the time. I fillet them and put them in the freezer for a day to make sure there isnt any parasites. Then they get thawed out and fed to my RTC, RTC/TSN, and my bigger aro. Ive been doing this for close to a year with no problems, But it doesnt make up thier full diet. I don't know if this will help you with your question, but just some imput. :)

google the image of bergall-it should show you the picture.I am an avid fisherman in Jersey. If it looks more like a toad fish or a wolf fish in appearence,it is an oyster cracker but i am almost positive by what you described that it is a bergall.hope that helps you.

Are they safe?? I seen an article that said they are safe for humans eat..
Should I freeze them first?

humans can eat them-i can tell you that much but i cannot say if its safe for you to feed.i dont want to give you info that could be wrong.sorry man,its just how i am.I would guess if i can eat it than a fish could eat it.
