Ok here's the start!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Also, check the indoor section. Have seen a few of these built on here.

should be cool! how are you gonna secure the blocks together? mortar?

jcardona1, that is a really good question! damn i love being a member of MFK! i actually didnt even think about it! so do you think i will need to mortar them together? not enough support be themselves?

i almost positive you would need to because the weight and pressure of the water will push the blocks out. that is unless you use retaining wall blocks that have a locking tab at the back so the weight of the dirt (or water in this case) pushes forward and locks them together.

i have seen some landscape block adhesive sold in the caulking gun tube sizes but im not sure if it would work with this type of block. i know it would work the retaining wall block...

Heavy duty Liquid Nails will glue the blocks together. It works for soil, not sure w/water.

What about using a sealent like silicone? Like the stuff in fish tanks?

ok did a little research, and a lot of the construction adhesives should work. I was thinking of the locking retaining blocks, but I have pallets of these blocks left over from a different project. another issue I'm looking at though, is the mfk member I was buying the liners from, hasn't contacted me back!
