I saw you asking about brine shrimp some and no one really replied, so I'll hit that for you.

Don't.

I mean it is technically possible, but not the greatest idea. At the size you will get them (most likely), they will be past the point of needing foods that small. Brine shrimp would be like you eating iceberg lettuce only, it could happen but not a very nutritionally sound idea. Brine Shrimp have a whole lot of nothin to em, especially when compare to other foods (like the one mentioned above). IMO you can't go wrong with a high quality (like omega one) pellet coupled with beef hearts. Some people say beef hearts only, but that gets kinda expensive.

the brine shrimp aren't for discus please read a pevous post you will see :D

It doesn't matter what they are for, you should read peoples responses. Brine shrimp aren't worth the trouble no matter what they are for. Baby Brine are good for fry when breeding, but that's not what you are doing. You may not mean to come across badly but it seems that you don't really want advice you just wait for someone to post what you want to hear. There are many many different scenarios that can work with discus, but the best are the ones you keep replying "please read post" to. You will have the best luck with a barebottom 75, 6 - 8 discus, 5 times a day feeding, and 50% water changes every day. Plan on that, then tweak it as you go..........you will be happier..............there are many many many "sick discus" threads and the majority of them are folks that are not doing enough water changes or are feeding less..........Or Get good adults and feed them less..........sunrise tropicals in SF has some nice 4.5" + fish for around $100 each. $800 and you can worry a lot less about your water changes and feeding.

Maybe I've missed something but is the show tank for discus? Your going to upgrade and grow them out bare bottom and then add them to the show tank and everything sounds good. I'd only feed a good beef heart mix though, I'm not saying mine is the best in the world but it contains everything they require although every discus home made food is done differently and tailored to the needs.

If the show tank is for discus then that = plants = can open, worms everywhere:nilly::nilly::nilly:

Good luck and please keep everyone posted:popcorn:

no no the show tank is a 8' foot tank i was allowed at the very most very most she streesed this part 42" of room :D 2' tall so all i ahve too do is afford it :D
