any help would be appreciated.....my shift keys just stopped working on my keyboard out of nowhere....i cant log on to facebook, myspace, or etc. cuz u know u have to use the shift to put that little at symbol in along with ur email address or whatever.....any ideas would really be appreciated, i have went to the control panel and tried to access the keyboard but it speaks nothing of the shift keys jus other buttons. i tried unhooking the keyboard from the hard drive and plugging it bck up and its a no go....whats goin on.....all the other keys are fine. i even removed the keys and made sure they werent dirty and still nothing....any help would be appreciated, thanks.....

copy and paste the symbols you need to a word document and use them as needed as a temp fix. i ended up replacing my keypad when it happened on my laptop.
There are 2 shift keys on a keyboard. Did both die at once?
you can also go to your start menu then to run and type charmap This will bring up the character map and just find the symbol you want and copy it.

Just mean to copy whatever symbol you need from another source, you can even copy this one " @ " or get it from email in your address book or other source. Paste it to a document or email draft and save it. Then when you need to use it, open up the the document that has the symbol saved, copy it again, and paste it to where you want to use it. Again, its just a quick fix.

bring up windows visual keyboard. start menu, all programs, accessories and then accessability then find "on screen keyboard".
