Ok Im starting my DIY stand now!!

Ok so Im starting a stand for a 29 gallon aquarium. I know its not big or anything but I was really excited to do it so Im going to try. Ive never made anything in my life before, never had a shop class either... So this will be my first thing ever.

So I just came back from Home Depot. I got (five) 2"x4"x10'. I didnt buy the big ply wood pieces to cover the whole thing yet, niether did I buy a stain for it. I only got my (five) 2"x4"x10' pieces, (twelve) 1"x1" "L" brackets, (fifty) #8 2" screws, and one hundred #6 3/4" screws. I have to go to my neighbors house to get my wood cut and then I can start assembling.
 
You can use a cabinet with a 3/4" ply wood top for a 29gln tank. On the other hand this is the DIY area so, GOOD LUCK and don't forget to show us the finished product.
 
Of course Ill post pix! Im just waiting for my friends dad to come home so he can cut the wood for me.

Ill draw up a pic on MS Paint since google sketchup wont work. :irked:
 
Remember to always measure twice and cut once. Also make sure to have a good laid out plan and blueprint for your project. Post pics!
 
Ok paint is taking too long. Anyone have a 3D program that I can get for free other then google sketch up?

That is the bottom and top frame. The "." are just there to hold everything in place. The "O" are where the cross braces go. Just and idea until the real thing goes down.
