I have a senegal bichir, banjo catfish and clown pleco about the same size as him if not a bit larger. They dont bother each other at all.

Lol that's awesome i got a senegal birchir and a banjo cat that i was thinking about putting in my 50 with him when hes ready

Sounds great, and you can even keep severel pickerel in that 50gal. I wouldnt do more than 3 though. They're prettty lazy, so they dont need a lot of space.

Hey guys I just joined the forum today. I am look for two or three pickerels for my tank. I am currently setting up my 55 gal. for these fish. I have had a musky and 2 tiger muskys in my 150 gal. but they eventually out grow it and I released them. From what I have read pickerels would work a little better in an aquarium. I tried to have a few shipped to me a few years ago but they where dead when I got them.

P.S. this web site is awesome lots of good info.

For one, your going to get flamed for releasing captive fish back into the wild. NEVER release a fish once you have put it into a home aquarium. You can get pickerel from several places on www.nanfa.org. Go to the online discussion section and go to the native fish vendors at the bottom of the forum. I got mine from Zimmermans and my pickerel came without a scratch. He even ate a guppy five minutes after getting here. They might not have any untill spring.
