Could also use blackworms. I feed them to all my pups after birth and get them nice and fat before finding them new homes.
The thing I like about blackworms is they can survive under water. So if there is any uneaten worms, they wont mess up your water.
They will just live till they are eaten.
I buy them in bulk from California Black Worms.
