Ok, so I'm checking out Fish Farm....

I don't have loads of experience, but I find captive bred fish have an easier time shipping and acclimating.

Especially with angels, from a LFS standpoint, if I don't acclimate wild caught ones I'm almost sure to lose a good amount. The captive bred I can pretty much chuck into whatever water and they are fine. Polypterus, African Knives, and those sort of fish that are most likely wild caught I sometimes lose to the "aint doin right" syndrome.

I think F1 are definitely hardier than wild caught.Acclimating wild caught fish can be problematic, you're parameters need to be spot on,F1 on the other hand are more adaptable to varying conditions.Contrary to what people say there's no telling the difference between FO and F1.

i prefer F1 because you get the natural beauty and genetic health of a wild fish and the durability of a captive bred specimen
