ok tank size for koi?

Well koi can get up to four feet so it would be VERY VERY tight.

I think you should be able to grow them out in that tank for awhile. They grow kind of slow in my experience.

Del, I've seen some Koi pics of huge fish, but most only get 3 feet. Not to mention they live to 200 years old. IMO, Koi aren't for tanks. Dig a 1000 gallon pond, then you can get 2 koi. Put them in the pond and get something else for the tank.
 
There are cases of four foot koi. Most stay around three but I know they CAN get bigger. My dad's friend has some that are quite past the three foot mark in his acre pond. They are HUGE!!!!

is there any proof of one that lived for 200 years or was it jsut reported?
